Week: 10

I though I needed to take a little time to absorb the last two weeks of running. I did a little fly fishing during the week and went to Gainesville for the weekend to watch the Friday distance races at the Florida Relays. An LRC poster from Orlando ran the 5K as a tune-up for Boston so it was cool to know someone in the race and for him to get a PR.

  1. Sounds like a pretty fun week. Its definitely good to take a break once in a while, and much better to do it on your terms than due to break down or injury. What are your upcoming plans & goals?

  2. There's that 5K for work on the 18th. I'm going to pace a coworker to 24 minutes or so in that. And there's a 5K on the 27th I want to enter.

I'm going to use the maintenance plan you gave me for the next few weeks to prep for the 27th.

After that I'm not sure. It's going to be getting pretty hot here soon and I don't think I'm going to want to do any races during the summer. Maybe I can just do a lot of base through September/October then look at some races for fall and winter?
