Finally went out with my new neighbor. I tried to keep a good pace and keep it so I could talk about the same as when running easy/moderate.

Week: 20M

Despite getting sick and not running for three days I hope the time off will work to my advantage starting out this new block. This morning I actually felt really good on my run despite still having a sore throat.

Weight is down to 153 in the mornings. That's pretty consistent over the last 2 weeks.

  1. I checked in, but forgot to comment. I hope you are feeling better. The only thing to note is that if you were planning on running a 5K instead of a time trial, you would probably be best to push it back another week to match up with your schedule.

  2. I ran Monday a.m. but was really tired again after work so I didn't so the workout. Lame way to start the week. I did run last night and that went well. Faster times than usual, I felt good the whole time, and finished with plenty of gas in the tank.

When you say to push the 5k back to October 13th are you saying that because of last week? Should I plan to start the schedule on the September 17th?

  3. You are right. That was my mistake. Whenever you started the workouts it would be the end of week 4. If you start this week then it would be the 8th, and 13th if you start on 9/17. I should have labelled the workouts by date instead of wk1.

  4. Actually, after getting sick and not getting Monday's workout in my schedule got messed up today so I missed this morning's run. I'm just going to "officially" start this new block on the 17th. That'll put the 5K on Saturday, October 13. The next day there's a 5M and 2M going on. I was thinking, maybe I could do the 2M? Otherwise there's nothing close to me around that time and I'll have to do a solo TT. Which is fine, I was just thinking about my options.

I'm going to follow the rest of this week as close as I can without making myself sick again.

  5. Sounds like a plan. I think the 2M would probably be best. Don't worry about doing too much this weekend. I would just run easy and start fresh on Monday.
