Week: 29M

This week was pretty shitty. I figured out that I had a flu last week leading up to my TT and then it came back a little at the beginning of this week. Also, my father passed Thursday so it was hard to even get out the door that day. So, that 50M plan fizzled pretty fast. But I'm going to get back to it this week. I probably needed the break anyway considering everything that's been going on the last two weeks.

I am happy about my average time staying low. I'll probably slow up a little to make the volume not so hard.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I can't imagine how difficult that must be.

You are right about those times. They are very fast. Take it as easy or as hard as you want for a few weeks. I would go by how you feel. I think going through periods of unstructured training can be beneficial. Sometimes taking a step back in training will set you up for taking 2 or 3 steps forward when you begin to refocus your training.

  2. Thank you. It's easier to deal with than I thought because it's been looming all year and I've been preparing. Being able to have those last conversations helps because I know we didn't have any unfinished business.

The last time I did all my runs based on feel I felt like it set me up for the 1500m block well. Plus, I'm still getting used to this Florida winter weather and time change. Anyway, thanks again.
